GREENVALE, NEW YORK – Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers hosted the 13th Annual Interfaith Nutrition Network’s (INN) Charitable Fundraiser, the “Olde Time New York Deli Experience” at Ben’s of Greenvale on Monday, September 26. This year, Ben’s exceeded its $15,000 goal, raising a total of $19,151 in support of the organization’s mission of “neighbors helping neighbors.” This sentiment resonates with Ben’s Kosher Deli Owner and Founder, Ronnie Dragoon, who continually helps many local charitable organizations and once again served as the event’s official pastrami slicer. A long-time supporter and board member for The INN, Mr. Dragoon donated 100 percent of all proceeds from the event to support Long Islanders in need on behalf of Ben’s Kosher Deli.

“We are extremely fortunate to have supporters like Ronnie Dragoon and the entire team at Ben’s hosting The INN for this annual event,” says Jean Kelly, Executive Director of The INN. “Friends of The INN look forward to having a delicious meal each year and contributing towards our goal of helping hungry and homeless Long Islanders in the process.”

Ben’s award-winning pastrami sandwiches were served alongside fresh turkey, delicious corned beef, latkes, sauerkraut, crunchy pickles and kosher hotdogs. “For over ten years, Ronnie has been the hard-working pastrami slicer and very generous host of the ‘Olde Time New York Deli Celebration,’ ” says Rob Kammerer, event organizer and INN Board Member. “Thank you to Ronnie, Todd Silverstein [Ben’s Catering Director], and all of the Ben’s Deli staff.”

Just before dessert, Mr. Dragoon joined Ms. Kelly and Mr. Kammerer in honoring Martin and Margot Kramer.
