Don’t Be Crabby, it’s Opening Day at Lobster Roll!

[AMAGANSETT, NEW YORK] – The Lobster Roll restaurant in Amagansett, New York is getting an early start to the summer season today. For over fifty years, the restaurant locally known as “Lunch”, because of its iconic sign, has been attracting hungry folks for both lunch and dinner.

Lobster Roll, a family-friendly summer favorite, is situated in the midst of a fun beach community, between rolling dunes and beautiful local flora. The restaurant might have outdoor picnic tables, but don’t be fooled by this quaint 1950s-style roadside shack — Lobster Roll incorporates modern dietary needs and offers a full gluten-free menu, including its famous namesake the lobster roll!  Also on hand are homemade desserts, including fruit pies, themed cakes, and of course ice cream, a children’s menu, and a full bar for the adults in attendance.

With the explosive popularity of the restaurant, Lobster Roll began offering take-out as well as dine-in. Always ready to please, Lobster Roll’s owner Andrea Anthony also offers on-premise catering and event planning.

Lobster Roll has seen its share of news coverage, and not just for its raved-about homemade dishes and seafood creations – it is also prominently featured in Showtime television show The Affair. Join diner waitress Alison in spirit, as you sit down for dinner at Lunch!

The Lobster Roll Amagansett will be open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. pre-season weekends (Friday and Saturday), and until 8 p.m. on Sundays, beginning today, May 5. The restaurant will be open full-time, seven days a week, on Thursday, May 25 (Memorial Day Weekend).

About The Lobster Roll Amagansett 
The Lobster Roll was purchased in 1965 by Frederick H. Terry, Senior., and his Dad; Richard C. Terry Senior, when it was a tiny roadside clam shack on the Napeague stretch. In 1978, Andrea Anthony joined forces with Fred and, three years later, Paul DeAngelis came on board. Nearly five decades after opening, Andrea and Paul (both former restaurant management professors) maintain current ownership and management operations of this busy summer eatery.
