May is National Burger Month and, in celebration, Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers has put together a special burger menu that’s sure to please the taste buds. From a classic Ben’s favorite, the “Big Ben,” which features grilled pastrami, onion rings and chipotle mayo, to a unique combo of burger, knockwurst and sauerkraut dubbed the “Knocked Up,” there’s something for everyone on the Ben’s Burger Menu. Not ready to commit to just one? The Ben’s Burger Menu is available from May 1 to May 31, which means there’s time to try all 11 combinations (33 when tallied with beef, turkey or veggie burger options).
Ben’s believes that better beef makes a better burger so, like all Ben’s burgers, the special Burger Month burgers feature a half-pound of fresh, never frozen, USDA Kosher beef that is ground right in the store. Burgers are hand-formed, grilled to order and served on a brioche bun with Ben’s famous fresh-cut fries or a homemade knish. Everyone knows that Ben’s is home to the best corned beef and pastrami around, but Ben’s burgers are a force to be reckoned with, and are never pre-formed or pre-processed like at many other dining establishments. What’s more, many of the topping are homemade, some are unique to our delicatessen heritage and all are fresh.
In addition to the Knocked Up and Big Ben burgers, the company’s special Burger Month Menu includes the “Breakfast Burger” – complete with fried egg and crispy smoked turkey, and the “Salami Burger” – topped with tangy, grilled Hebrew National salami. Also featured are the “Beefstrami Burger” – a blend of ground beef and pastrami, topped with pickle chips, coleslaw and Russian dressing; and the “Coney Island Burger,” served with sautéed onions between two halves of a square knish with a side of baked beans.
Rounding out the lineup are the “BBQ Brisket Burger” – topped with sliced brisket and barbecue sauce; the “Chili Burger” – topped with chili and red onions; and the “California Burger” – topped with Israeli salad and sliced avocado; as well as the “Sliders” – which includes two mini burgers on challah rolls with crispy onions and horseradish sauce.
