GLEN COVE, NEW YORK — Our Coffee with a Cause, Inc. Co-Owner Brittney Wohl will participate in the New York Angels Pageant on Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The New York Angels Pageant is the only pageant in New York for men, women and children with special needs. In support of the event, Our Coffee with a Cause will be hosting a vendor table featuring its coffee products.

The Angels Pageant System was established in 2011 in response to a growing need for children, young adults and older adults with disabilities to participate in a pageant that celebrates the talent and beautiful spirit of this group of people. Pageant day consists of an outfit of their choice, a talent showcase, evening wear and coronation.

Ms. Wohl, age 18, who is autistic and non-verbal, will be joined onstage by hundreds of other children and adults with special needs. Each participant will be crowned a New York Angel Ambassador and those who perform talent routines will receive additional gifts.

Our Coffee with a Cause’s vendor table will feature the company’s fresh-roasted Colombian, Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla and Hazelnut, with Decaf and Organic coffee options. A portion of the proceeds from the coffee sales will benefit Our Own Place, a local, non-profit organization that provides unique opportunities to special-needs children and their single parents. The organization’s ultimate mission is to open a weekend respite home for families of children with cognitive disabilities that will provide job training and socialization skills to its residents.

Recently, Ms. Wohl and her brother, Logan Wohl, were named as the Co-Owners of Our Coffee with a Cause, a non-profit organization that employs disabled individuals and funds the local charities that support them. Their mother and company president, Stacey Wohl, founded Our Coffee with a Cause in 2012 in response to the growing need of special-needs individuals requiring employment opportunities and a learning environment to provide them with real-life skills.

“Our Coffee With A Cause is proud to support our Co-Owner, Brittney Wohl, in the New York Angels Pageant,” says Stacey Wohl. “The philosophy of this event resonates with our company’s mission by showing the world that there is ability in disability.”
